The staff of St John's College gathered in solidarity to support the declaration of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide as a National Disaster.

The Tutu Memorial Walk, in honour of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, took place on Sunday, 12 October, as the Johannian community took a 7km pilgrimage through the streets of Johannesburg.

The students, staff and some parents at St John’s College gathered on Burger Field for 67 minutes to mark Mandela Day 2025, creating a striking image of Nelson Mandela using more than 8 000 donated cans of food.

On Saturday, 7 June, St John's College welcomed back generations of Old Johannians for a reimagined Gaudy Day, a celebration rooted in heritage and community spirit, combining the celebration with the Derby Day against St Alban's College.

The St John’s College community mourns the passing of Alan Harry Wilcock, the 13th Headmaster of the College and a dedicated servant of education whose remarkable four-decade journey at St John’s shaped the lives of generations of Johannians.
